Jeanine Rutjes
Gynaecologist
- Medical degree and specialist diploma in gynaecology and obstetrics from the KU Leuven.
As a gynaecologist with a particular interest in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery, I focus on effective, local treatments.
I also follow pregnancies with passion, taking physiology into account and, if necessary, using my expertise to successfully treat pathologies.
I’m the mother of two daughters.
- True strength lies in the ability to care unconditionally for others, even when life is demanding. It's this dedication, fuelled by passion and perseverance, that turns a profession into a vocation.
Shari Boeckstaens
Gynaecologist
- UZ Leuven medical degree in 2014, gynaecologist in 2021.
- Additional subspecialisation in high-risk obstetrics and antenatal ultrasound.
- 3 years' professional experience in the UK.
- As a gynaecologist, it is a privilege to welcome new lives and guide women through crucial and delicate times. My passion is to ensure their safety, to overcome any hardship and to support them with care and dedication.
Joyce Lake
Midwife
- Bachelor of Midwifery and Bachelor of Nursing with a specialisation in Paediatrics in 2014
- self-employed midwife since 2016 and worked at Vilvoorde Hospital until 2025
- As a midwife, I support parents and their babies throughout pregnancy and after birth, offering both practical and emotional support. Thanks to my experience, I ensure that every family feels confident and well cared for. I'm also present at the practice (delete) reception desk, where I welcome each visit with warmth and kindness. Whether it's answering questions, providing advice during pregnancy and the postnatal period, or accompanying parents to paediatric consultations, I'm always there to listen and help.
Quintus Marais
Paediatrician
- Graduated as a doctor from the University of the Free State, South Africa in 2003. Graduated as a paediatrician from the College of Paediatricians of South Africa in 2012 in Durban, South Africa.
- Working as a paediatrician at AZ Jan Portaels Hospital since 2012.
Born in South Africa and proud father of three daughters – coincidentally, the same as Dr Van Leynseele đ
- Every child is unique and expresses itself in its own way. There is so much to learn by simply listening and observing. Understanding what makes each child special helps me to give them the best possible care.
Anouk Van Leynseele
Paediatrician
- Qualified as a doctor at the VUB in 2007, and as a paediatrician in 2013.
- Three years' experience as a paediatrician in South Africa. Paediatrician at the AZJP since 2013 and Head of Paediatrics since 2016.
